The Osteopaths

Steven Bruce
Steven is co-Director of the Clinic and Training Coordinator. He turned his efforts to osteopathy in 1995 after a lengthy career in the Royal Marines, graduating in 2000. He has since specialised in Frozen Shoulder problems and Gait Analysis, and is a lecturer in osteopathy at Oxford Brookes University.
Claire Short
Claire is the Clinic's other co-Director. She took up osteopathy in 1995, after several years practising sports massage. She specialises in treating young children, including babies, but has also become very successful in treating animals. In this field, her patients range from baby squirrels to buffalo, although the bulk of her work is with horses. More information on this aspect of her work can be found at www.horseosteopath.net.

Sandra Abbott
Sandra Abbott has over 10 years experience in counselling and is accredited to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, the lead organisation in UK for regulating the profession. This provides you with the assurance that she adheres to the highest ethical and professional standards in helping you deal with your problems.

Christian Baker
Christian Baker DipCAH, PNLP, HBCE, MNCH (Lic) is internationally qualified and is a registered affiliate of the Hypnobirthing Institute. He is fully experienced in teaching the principles of HypnoBirthing. He has appeared a number of times on television, including episodes of Blue Peter, where he was able to help presenter Gethin Jones overcome his fear of flying.
Kay Hughes
Kay Hughes RS Hom is our homeopath. Having spent 12 years as an holistic therapist, she spent 5 years re-training as a homeopath. She is particularly interested in fertility and obstetrics. She works regularly in conjunction with GPs and private midwives, including attending deliveries.
Acupuncture

Joy Bradley
Joy Bradley is our senior acupuncturist. Originally a microbiologist, she has significant experience within the Western medical system and often works with GPs and Consultants. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and has a particular interest in treating infertility and Parkinson's Disease.
The Massage Squad
Colleen Williamson
Colleen qualified as an Holistic Therapist in August 2002 and has practised Aromatherapy massage, Sports massage and Reflexology since then. More recently she qualified as a Reiki therapist and in Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear candle treatment). A keen runner herself, she understands sport injuries well, in particular the need for competitors to return to their sport quickly. Her sports massages are carefully tailored to each individual client, so that a wide variety of injuries can be treated.
