Computer Games Designer
There are many of us out there who have surely, at some point or another; contemplated our own video game. Who the characters would be, what the aim of the game would be, where it would be set, if there would be a set plot, and a lot of these thoughts come about when we notice faults whilst we’re playing the games that have already been made! We’ve all been there, we’re playing on a game, and suddenly, we’re disappointed by something, and that thought pops into our heads ‘if I made this, I would have done this instead’, well why don’t you then?
Few people realize that there are courses out there that can enable you to actually design the games that you play, imagine, you’re sat playing the latest Call of Duty… at work, and you were the one had designed it. You’ll be able to spot all the faults you would at home, and make the changes to suit millions of gamers worldwide!
Computer Game Design is a really rewarding and fulfilling career path, as it really allows you to let your creativity run riot, and see how your idea develops – from the beginning bubble of ideas, to drawings and designs into a fully developed and working computer game that you could soon see on the shelves of computer game stores worldwide.
A computer game could not exist without the presence of a game designer, and as long as you have the creative and communication skills, there’s no reason why you couldn’t triumph in a Computer Game Design Course. As a Computer Game Designer, one of your primary roles would be directing a production team. You would need to explain to them exactly how to execute your vision and idea, so that the end result is perfectly to your specifications. Creativity is obviously a must-have, because you will be thinking about and creating ideas daily, and these will be completely fresh ideas that are not currently on the shelves!
