Podiatry (also known as chiropody) is the treatment of foot problems. Podiatrists are highly trained specialists, governed by the Health Professions Council. Not only can they help keep your feet looking good, but by treating problem areas they can help prevent deformities, relieve pain and ensure that you are able to remain, literally, "on your feet"!
Why should I see a podiatrist?
Essentially, if your feet hurt, something is wrong and you you should seek specialist advice. Podiatrists are highly skilled professionals and regulation by the HPC ensures that you will receive the highest possible standard of treatment. A list showing some of the conditions treated by podiatrists is shown to the right.
